Each month JustPhysio would like to recognise one of our locums for their personal achievement and commitment to the Physiotherapy Service!
Name: Bronwyn
Profession: Physiotherapist
Where are you from? Tauranga, New Zealand
Current Locum position? Band 6 Physiotherapist - inpatient rehabilitation with the elderly
Personal achievements within the role? Learning the many different discharge options for this region, and helping people get home faster and safer. Also learning to block punches thrown by ninety-year-olds.
What do you enjoy about being a locum? The flexibility; being able to move around within the UK, exploring different areas and meeting new people.
Most memorable moment within your career? So far, being a locum is the most memorable. I get to try so many different types of physio, with so many different people. The job I have found the most challenging so far was as a breast cancer physiotherapist. I really enjoyed it – terrifying and exhilarating at the same time.
