Locum of the Month - September 2014

Friday 29th August 2014

Each month JustPhysio would like to recognise one of our locums for their personal achievement and commitment to the Physiotherapy Service!

Name: Sam

Profession: Physiotherapist

Where are you from? Warwick, Australia

Current Locum position? Acute Stroke Ward Physiotherapist, Band 6

Personal achievements within the role? Being able to get right back into it after a year off, phew!

What do you enjoy about being a locum? The freedom of getting to go to so many different places, some of which you never even knew existed, like the Isle of Man! It is also obviously a great opportunity to work in areas that you might not have ordinarily, and gain experience from a wide spectrum of health professionals who have an entirely different background to me.

Most memorable moment within your career? No real individual moment sticks out to be honest. Maybe just the moments where you realise you actually really enjoy your job, they’re lovely.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 items would you take?
1 ) Sunglasses
2 ) A bottle of gin
3 ) Solar-charged radio - if they exist?!
