Our Locum of the Month

Wednesday 8th November 2017

Each month JustPhysio are proud to recognise one of our locums for their hard work and dedication to the Physiotherapy Service and this month we are delighted to award the Locum of the Month to Shayne, our Physiotherapist from Brisbane.

Since landing in the UK in August, Shayne has made a great impression at his work placement which is reflected in the many glowing references we have received.

The Liverpool fan was nominated by our JustPhysio recruitment consultant Dominic, who has built a great work relationship with Shayne due to their shared love of football, although they support rival teams. Dominic added “Shayne has a great attitude and is so easy to talk to which makes it a pleasure finding him work”.

Current Locum position? Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Personal achievements within the role? Being able to grow both as a person and learn my profession over the past couple of years has been my main aim. Still early days so hopefully there are more achievements to come.

What do you enjoy about being a locum? I enjoy the freedom and flexibility that being a locum offers. Being able to take time off to travel has been ideal for me.

Most memorable moment within your career? I have had a few memorable patients who I’ll never forget, but the things that I will remember most are the different places both within and outside of Australia that my career has been able to take me.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 items would you take?
