Our Locum of the Month

Wednesday 17th January 2018

Each month JustPhysio like to recognise one of our locums for their personal achievements and commitment to the physiotherapy service.

This month we have the pleasure of recognising Laura for her hard work and dedication since joining JustPhysio. Laura is very easy going and a pleasure to speak to, she is very organised and has a very willing and positive attitude which makes her a fantastic locum and physiotherapist.

Laura was nominated by our JustPhysio recruitment consultant Dominic who speaks very highly of her, as do her clients as this is reflected in her glowing feedback.

Current Locum position? Band 6 Acute Medical Physiotherapist

Personal achievements within the role? I feel I have become must more resilient to changes happening in the work environment and been able to treat many different varieties of patients.

What do you enjoy about being a locum? The diverse opportunities I have been given, treating a variety of patients on a variety of specialist wards and the flexibility so I can spend more time with family.

Most memorable moment within your career? I’d been treating a 99 year old patient after her recent heart surgery and she was very poorly, after a few months she was walking out of the ward with her walking stick fitter than before! She gave me a hug on the way out and I’ve never forgotten her to this day.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 items would you take?
