JustPhysio are looking to recruit a band 6 Community Neuro Physiotherapist for a locum position with our client in London.
The pay for this position is £22 - £26 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an on - going duration.
Job Summary:
The client is seeking a Band 6 Community Locum Neuro Physiotherapist to provide
specialised neurorehabilitation services to patients with neurological conditions. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, conducting thorough assessments, and implementing effective treatment plans to enhance patients' physical function and independence. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, experience with medico-legal work and report writing, and strong independent diary and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive neuro physiotherapy assessments of patients in their homes or
community settings.
Develop and execute individualised neurorehabilitation treatment plans based on assessment
findings.
Administer evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to patients with a variety of
neurological conditions, including but not limited to stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and traumatic brain injury.
Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to
treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers on managing neurological conditions and promoting health and independence.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, and
speech and language therapists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Maintain meticulous and up-to-date patient records in compliance with professional and
regulatory standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
Engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
delivery.
Prepare detailed medico-legal reports and other documentation as required for legal and
insurance purposes.
Manage your own diary and caseload independently, ensuring efficient time management and
meeting of deadlines.
Essential Criteria:
Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc).
Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Full membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Demonstrated experience as a Band 6 Physiotherapist with a specialisation in neurology,
preferably within a community setting.
Strong clinical assessment and neurorehabilitation treatment skills, including proficiency in the assessment and management of spasticity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven experience in medico-legal work and report writing.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional independent diary management and time management skills.
Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Valid UK driving licence.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience working with a diverse range of neurological conditions.
Familiarity with private healthcare systems and protocols.
Experience in providing education and training to patients, families, and other healthcare staff.
Postgraduate qualifications or specialist training in neurological physiotherapy.
Additional Information:
The position requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate patient needs.
An enhanced DBS check is required prior to commencement.
