Newly qualified physiotherapists can expect to earn between £28k to £31k per annum. Band 6 Physio's can expect to earn between £31 to £37k per annum.
If you have over 2 years post grad experience then you would be a band 6 Physio in the UK.
Your earning potential depends on where in the UK you work. Generally the higher rates are offered to locums who work in London. These rates can differ but you should expect to earn between £22 - £25p/h PAYE as a band 6 Physio.
You would need CSP registration if you were to work in a private practice. If working in an NHS role you would just need HCPC registration.
Full Time Physio roles generally work 37.5hrs per week. This may differ slightly in some full time roles.
Paediatric locum Physio roles pay slightly more then other specialties.
Historically the busiest time of year for locum physio work is between December and April. This is due to winter pressure money being released into the NHS enabling Hospital trusts to use more locum staff.
