Our client in London is looking for a Physiotherapist to join their team .

Job Overview:
To provide physiotherapy input to residents with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological and other complex conditions, treatments and goal setting to own designated caseload of residents.
To use evidence based practice and specialist skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. Ensure the programmes reflects the current population of the services' wishes and preferences
To promote an enablement culture and approach to care within the British home.
Develop clinical and professional knowledge thereby acting as a resource for colleagues, residents and their families.

Working Hours:
5 days over 7-day period, as agreed with the manager.
Role Specific Duties:
*To monitor, evaluate and modify treatment in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.
*To be able to successfully carry out a full neuro assessment, identify impairments, plan treatment (Care Plan) and hand over exercises/treatment to therapy assistants following demonstration - where a case is complex (to pick up the case load),
*To be able to sign post residents or refer on for Xrays (clinically reason), specialist treatment or further assessments where case is complex,
*To have knowledge of when the spasticity clinic, orthotics, SLT are required,
*To be able to compile a report - therapy input and progression to social workers/relatives.
*
*To ensure residents are involved in the planning and prioritisation of their rehabilitation plans wherever possible.
*To adapt practice to meet individual residents' circumstances, including due regard for cultural and social differences in addition to their cognitive and physical disabilities.
*To use appropriate method of communication with residents and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential and their understanding of the condition. Communication skills of persuasion, explanation and gaining informed consent will be used with a wide variety of residents'.
*To work in collaboration with/refer to local authorities/Primary Care Trusts in repose to identified patient
*To demonstrate effective time management and organisational skills during management of own workload and be able to adapt to an unpredictable work pattern on a daily basis. This includes making patients' appointments, coordinating with clinics and liaising with other professionals for joint assessments and treatments.
*To demonstrate high level of clinical effectiveness by use of evidence based practice.
*To train/supervise therapy assistants and students
