Physiotherapist and Massage therapist role based in Verbier Switzerland. Verbier is a fantastic ski resort based in the heart of the Swiss Alps. A hub for freeride skiing and apres ski there is a vast British community and its a fantastic place to experience the seasonaire lifestyle and work outside the UK.
Our client are a highly established company in Verbier with 10 years of experience in the resort. They have a fantastic reputation and they provide treatments to all the high end chalet companies, in the hotels and also in private chalets. Its a great opportunity to see some amazing chalets and experience the high end lifestyle that Verbier can provide. We provide transport to the chalets and you are rarely alone in the chalet. With most chalets having a number of staff as well as guests. Our client provides transport to these chalets so do not require you to have a car in resort.
Their clients are used to regular treatments and during there holidays will commonly have daily massages and experience back, knee, shoulder problems. Therefore there is a strong need for therapists to be able to be adaptable and flexible in the approach they take to treatments. Its a great opportunity to reinforce your hand on treatments skills. It is a great opportunity to use your sports physio, musculoskeletal skills.
Therapists need to be adaptable, dynamic and share a love of the mountains or be eager to learn to ski. The job only suits someone with a strong interest to do a ski season or be based in the alps. Verbier has lots of opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, ski touring, freeride skiing, paragliding, climbing, biking and hiking. Verbier is a year round resorts and there are opportunities to stay year round in resort.
Treatments need to be given confidently with advice and exercises given at the end of treatment. Therapists need to give an individualised approach to each treatment and adapt in order to meet the clients specific requirements.
Working Hours. Working hours are flexible. Majority of hours are afternoon and evening. Therapists are expected to be available during this time but get more freedom during the day to be on the slopes and to have some time off.
Pay. You are paid well per hour of massage that you do. Travel time to the massage is included in the hourly pay you receive for doing the massage. Average monthly hours range from 60-100 and the more flexible and willing you are to work the more work you can take on. The job is considered full time and therefore the pay reflects this.
Accommodation, flights etc. Accommodation in resort is provided but paid for by the therapists. Therapists are expected to book their own flights as its so easy to fly to Geneva but assistance will be given to ensure everything is organised for their arrival. Providing you have an EU passport they be able to provide you with a Swiss work permit. With this you are considered a temporary resident in Switzerland. Their health care system is private. On a general level the amount they pay in tax on their wages including private health insurance is similar to that in the UK.
