Salary - £37,500-£39,500
OTE- £38,480-£43,450
1 YEAR POST-REGISTRATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
HYBRID /REMOTE- MUST LIVE WITHIN AN HOUR OF THE OFFICE

Our client is looking for a Clinical Assessor in Scarborough

ROLE PURPOSE
To undertake assessments for Personal Independence Payment required for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).
To work as part of a successful, integrated team and contribute to the contract at a local level, ensuring that quality, productivity and customer satisfaction are all achieved.
Full training is provided including a comprehensive eLearning programme and five-week full time training course.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*To analyse and interpret clinical information and medical evidence and provide a report in a professional and concise manner.
*To work to agreed standards/targets and to respond positively to feedback.
*Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships with both medical colleagues and administrative support staff.
*To undertake recorded and video assessments where required.
*Have highly developed communications skills and be able to respond to rapidly changing work environment.
*To work unsupervised and use own initiative however know limitations and ask for support where necessary
*Previous experience of disability assessment/clinical decision making e.g. A & E or NHS Direct is desirable.
*Ability to multi-task demonstrating that you are able to listen, type and talk at the same time whilst controlling the assessment.
*Strong IT skills with experience of using a range of software.
*Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
*Evidence of responding to unexpected changes by adopting a flexible approach to work.
*Evidence of on-going professional development.
